This work started out bright and expressive, but over time I felt drawn to quieten it. Layer by layer, the colours deepened and receded, until something more restrained and mysterious surfaced. To me, it feels like looking through a foggy window at night — obscured, intimate, and slightly uncertain — where what lies beneath is sensed rather than seen.
