This work refers to the billabong in our back garden. Right after the rain, when everything goes truly quiet, the darks out there are just beautiful.

This canvas settled into a stark contrast - a large, quiet upper field of stone greys resting over thick, dark sweeps of dark browns mixed with local earth. Those moody vibes are almost a distraction from the deep serenity I felt while creating this. It actually started as a very busy, restless piece, but it slowly transitioned into something serene and quiet that pulls you right in. I really hope the viewer feels that shift.
