I made this one without a plan. No reference, no idea of where it was going. Just simply responding to the surface, layer after layer, until I looked up and it was done. Honestly, I barely remember making parts of it. That's the state I want to work in; fully in it, no overthinking, just instinct. Coming back to it felt like waking up and seeing it for the first time, even though my hands had been on it the whole way through. That's why I named it Surrender.
