“Dalam” means “deep” in Indonesian.

This piece was created alongside Antara, shaped by the same process of letting go of thoughts, ideas, and plans. I allowed intuition to lead entirely, resulting in raw, unplanned strokes. The deep blues reflect the state I enter when I paint: quiet, internal, and far below the surface.

This work is a personal reminder of the importance of releasing control, something that doesn’t come naturally to me but continues to guide my practice.
