This piece began with the idea of Bali’s bird-of-paradise flowers, but gradually shifted toward the greens - “hijau” in Indonesian - that shape daily life here: gardens, leaves, and the feeling of being surrounded by nature. I kept the focus on colour rather than floral forms.

Living among greenery grounds me, and this work became a celebration of life within nature. Coffee grounds were used to create texture.
