“Sutra” means “thread” in Sanskrit, referring to a line of connection or continuity.

This was the first piece I created after arriving in Bali. I began using bright pink, red, and orange tones inspired by the island’s sunsets, but over time I found myself drawn to stronger, clearer reds.

I mixed local coffee grounds into the surface to create texture and to anchor the work to its place of origin. This piece marks an important creative opening for me in Bali.
