The Big Bang is a milestone in my creative journey as it is the very first piece I made at this scale, and the moment I realised how much I thrive on working big. Created in our tiny apartment in Singapore, it was both an experiment and an adventure. I used water freely to move the paint across the canvas, which meant it had to stay perfectly still on the floor for nearly a full day… and our whole family tiptoed around it in suspense.

I pushed myself to explore everything here: colour, texture, materials, movement. It was pure joy: playful, bold, and a little chaotic. We lived with it on our wall for a long time, and it became a reminder of possibility. This piece isn’t just a painting, it’s where my big dreams truly began.
