“Laut Senja” means “ocean at dusk” in Indonesian. This piece began as a more abstract work with blues, greys, and oranges, but it gradually shifted into an abstract impression of the ocean.

After visiting the north of Bali and watching the strong, untamed waves, the direction became clear.

The work reflects the dual nature of the sea; its immense power and the deep sense of calm it can bring.
